ACEN Audio interactive course in phonetics is designed for the students of Functional English at the undergraduate level who have already had a formal introduction to the subject and need practice materials or by anyone who desires to improve his English pronunciation. The course aims at bringing out the essential features of the phonology of English by giving ample examples and imparting a culture of accuracy in language for communication.

The lessons are recorded in a format suitable for use in a language labs. It is best used in the ACEN Audio Interactive Language labs where the student is under effective guidance of the teacher. Students can also use this course at home with the help of two house- hold cassette recorders/ a ‘Karaoke’ recorder.

Students’ notes and a worksheet accompany every cassette. The worksheets are dispensable and must be copied and used every time the lesson is used by a new student. The students are supposed to go through the Students’ note, which is relevant for the respective lesson.

Purchase of ACEN language lab automatically provides the buyer a right to copy and use these lessons within the institution.
